Why I'm Running

I love this community and look forward to working hard to earn the opportunity to stand up for our families at the State Capitol. There is too much talk in politics today and not enough action to actually solve the problems we face. I am tired of the talk and the partisanship. I am running to stand up for families and work for the people of this community.

I am ready to deliver for our families by solving the challenges we face to secure a stronger, safer, and more prosperous future for all of our citizens.  High prices crushing our family budgets, schools focused more on political agendas than education, crime on the rise, and out-of-control traffic are real issues impacting everyone in our community. Talk and partisanship aren’t going to solve problems. That’s why we need a common-sense Representative who is ready to put politics aside, listen to you, stand up for families and WORK FOR YOU.

I will work hard to provide relief to combat inflation, ensure our schools remain focused on academics, support law enforcement through better training and more resources to keep our community safe, and push for funding and reforms that reduce traffic congestion. I look forward to earning the trust and support of my neighbors in the weeks ahead.

About Sandy:

Sandy Donatucci is a military spouse, mother, breast cancer survivor, and community leader who is passionate about standing up for the families of our local community.

She worked as a sales professional for 30+ years in which she has worked as a realtor, international sales representative, and healthcare sales professional.

Locally, she has served as a Competition Cheer Coach and a small group leader and facilitator in her church. She has also been an active leader in the Gwinnett Republican Party.

A resident of Gwinnett County for 20 years, Sandy currently resides in Buford. She has been married to her husband Bill for 33 years. They are the proud parents of Kyle (29) and daughter-in-law Elizabeth, Ashley (21), and Noah (17).

Issues:

Fight inflation:
Sandy will push back against Washington’s reckless policies and provide relief to our families by returning more of your tax dollars to YOU, where they belong to help our families that are struggling with high prices.

Stand for Students, Teachers, & Parents:
Our students lost so much during the pandemic, and after they returned to school, too many on the left played politics and kept forcing masks on kids, causing depression and loneliness. The pandemic did open our eyes to the radical and inappropriate curriculums that were being forced on our students. In the House, Sandy will ensure our schools are focused on academics and life skills – not political indoctrination. Sandy will protect the rights of parents in education to ensure no school board or administration stifles their voices, stand with our teachers by making sure they are allowed to do their job – teach, and increase safety in our schools.

Keep Families Safe:
Crime is on the rise. Just look at the headlines and the reality around us. Sandy stands with our law enforcement and first responders in their efforts to keep our community safe. In the State House, Sandy will make sure law enforcement has the resources and training they need to keep families safe, and she will oppose any effort to defund the police or make it easier for violent offenders to threaten our safety.

Tackle Traffic:
Our community is growing with more development faster than our traffic systems and roads are being improved. Apartments and neighborhoods are approved with no thought to the impact to traffic congestion. Sandy will push for needed reforms to handle growth and the funding necessary to reduce congestion and improve our quality of life.
